Welcome to the third installment of the Cohesion Summit series. When people work separately to tackle the same problem, unaware of each other, they often do the same things with fewer resources and miss out on collaboration. Our mission is to bring people together, in-person, to work together, breaking down the fake silos.
You will be in a room with a range of people across sectors and life experiences, and through creativity, will-power, and FUN, find something to unite each other and form a cohesive team!
What this event isn't:
- A hackathon
- A corporate networking event
What this event will have you do:
- Find the intersection between your self/project and other people around you
- Connect with people who have interesting new ideas, whether they are similar to yours or not
- HAVE FUN!
Here's the itinerary:
6:00 PM - Arrive & Settle In
Head up to the top floor of The Wicket, grab a drink, and get comfortable. Mingle and meet fellow attendees (and future collaborators…!)
6:15 PM - Welcome & Opening Remarks
We'll kick things off with a warm welcome and set the stage for an evening of collaboration and connection.
6:20 PM - Speed Pitching Rounds
Get into groups of 3. Each person shares their project, idea, or passion for 2 minutes. Then spend 4 minutes as a group giving "yes, and" style feedback; building on ideas and exploring connections. After each round, we'll rotate so you meet new people and hear fresh perspectives. We'll do several rounds!
7:00 PM - Snack Break
Take a breather, grab some food (vegan options available), and let the ideas percolate.
7:15 PM - Project Mapping
Write down your thing on a piece of paper, and add a tag or category on the other side that describes it.
7:20 PM - Team Formation
Walk around the room and find your people! Form teams of 6 based on complementary projects, shared interests, and good vibes. Facilitators will help you as necessary to find your pocket of collaborators.
7:30 PM - Collaborative Ideation
With your team, brainstorm a unifying project or initiative that connects or supports everyone's work. You will have discussion prompts to guide you!
7:55 PM - Team Presentations
Each team shares the pitch of their cohesive project vision with everyone at the summit.
8:30 PM onwards - Afterparty & Networking
Stick around for drinks, deeper conversations, and making plans. The celebration continues right here at The Wicket!
The event itself is collaborative; as such, we encourage you to give as detailed and as honest feedback as you can! Please send us your favorite event facilitation method, your opinion on the vibe, venue, etc. All feedback (which a participant consents to publicize, anonymously if they so choose) will be used to co-create the next summit.
